The role of animator is reasonably new type of work and is always situate in a holiday enviroment.
The animators in the hotel are there to take care of the guests during their holiday, to supply assistance and to help create an atmosphere so that the guests enjoy thei holiday.
You are able to choose varied roles each role involves different activities and responsabilitiesuch as:
  • Sport activities: football tournament, basketball, volleyball, ping pong, french bowls, darts, etc..
  • Fitness activities: soft gym, aerobics, step, stretching, dance lessons, water gym, etc..
  • Crazy games: cocktail game, olympic games, pool- or beach games, etc..
  • Mini club activities: specific program to entertain children aged between 4 and 12 years old
The job of an animator is a team effort. The animator must follow rules, regulations and program set by the person responsable for the animation in the hotel.
The usual requirements are that you are available from 3/8 months plus you receive a salary, food and board.
To work as an animator you do not have to have any specific qualifications. At minimum you will need to have completed compulsory schooling to ensure a minimum level of basic general culture.

The animator must have a happy disposition, creativity, fantasy, self control, organising abilities, a resistance to stress and fatigue also have the abilities to be spontaneous and dynamic.
It’s also very important to be patient and understanding, open minded and well balanced, finally be available to travel long distances over long periods.
After the selection and stage you can discuss the different roles with the human resources manager.
The roles available are:
  • Chief animator (experience required minum 4 fully completed seasons)
  • Mini club animator
  • Sport animator
  • Fitness animator
  • Scenographer
  • Choreographer
  • Sound and light responsable/DJ
The job of an animator is a charming and enjoiable experience for those who choose to do this job for one season or for those who do it as a “career”.
Beware: it’s a hard job that requires a lot of effort for many hours of the day. As we say, A HOLIDAY IS SOMETHING ELSE
